Over the years, there have been a number of essential oil companies that have “branded” their oils as being superior. These claims are merely marketing ploys that allow them to charge more for their oils. We simply sell direct to you in full 8ml and 18ml bottles.
You pay less and get more oil with Ojaván.Essential oils are considered the first medicine, and have been used throughout the world for centuries. According to Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians used oils thousands of years before the time of Christ. Essential oils, and other aromatics, have been used in religious rituals to treat various illnesses – as well as other physical and spiritual needs.
Research dates the use of essential oils back to 4500 BC for the Egyptians and around 2697 to 2597BC for the Ancient Chinese. Ancient Egyptians were the first to record the possibilities of fragrance, and records demonstrate that they were renowned for their knowledge of ointments, aromatic oils and cosmetology which stretched into making herbal preparations. Three oils that are commonly used today that were used by the Ancient Egyptians are Cedarwood, Myrrh, and Frankincense.
The reintroduction of essential oils into modern medicine began during the late 19th and early 20th centuries during the outbreak of Spanish influenza in France where no deaths were reported by hospitals that carried, and used, lavender oil. Over the years, they have helped people obtain a better sense of wellbeing and have even helped prevent the spread of diseases.
The history of essential oils continues to this day as they can be added to your bath, diffuser, candles, perfumes, shampoo, soap, cleaning products, lotions, incense, or they can be applied on the skin - as an alternative treatment for infections, other health problems or stress. Ojaván recommends selecting an essential oil or essential oil blend to either treat your symptoms, or to help promote the energy that you desire to surround yourself with throughout the day.
